L’Île Archéo is a student game project made by student of the NAD UQAC about ecology, archeology and what will remain after we are gone. Play as Titi, a young archeologist on his first field internship on the mysterious Archéo Island, home of the lost human civilisation. Explore the island, rendered in a painterly picture book aesthetics, use your tools to recover and clean the artefacts you find, collect information, and discover the secrets of the island.
The game was awarded the Bourse de rayonnement Illogika 2023-2024 as well as the Technical Excellence Award from the CHI PLAY 2023 Student Game Design Competition.
Features:Explore the island: The Archéo island is a newly discovered island full of unexplored ruins of the now lost human civilisation. While they were the dominant civilisation of earth for several thousands of years there are now gone, bringing with them their strange tradition and secrets. Meet your colleagues:You will not be alone on your adventure, you will work side by side with your field supervisor and muscle bound corvid Corbac as well as your analyst and 8 armed technology expert Poulpa, nothing can go wrong with their expert guidance.
Restore artefacts:Use your multitool to explore dark ruins and smash any obstacle standing in your way! By hammering, scraping, brushing, and cleaning, you will recover and restore lost artefact to discover the purpose of those strange fragment of the human civilisation.
Uncover the secret of the island! Maybe you will be able to understand and solve the greatest mystery of the island; why did the human disappeared?
